I have the same problem. In my language (Czech) it is: At the hotel, you say that you have room reservation.
My answer was the same as your, but wrong and I really like to know, which answer is right. I think that could be: Wir haben ein Zimmer reservieren but there is no much space for it, so I don´t know what´s the problem
